Q: I own a fleet of trucks that are already tarped. Do you have replacement parts for the ones I own?
A: If your trucks are equipped with a non-Shur-Co.® system, don't worry; we can build a replacement tarp per your specifications to fit that tarp system. Shur-Co.®'s replacement parts are interchangeable with many other tarp systems. Plus you can order them factory direct-comes right to your front door.
Q: Looking for a bow system that works best for your hauling application?
A: Shur-Co.® carries bows that flex, swing out of the way for loading, heavy duty bows that aggregates can be loaded over, and has steel or aluminum bow brackets for specific trailer types.
Q: I don't want any bows in my tarp system. Do you have a system like that?
A: For proper support and life expectancy a tarp system needs a bow system. Anyone who tells you otherwise is getting ready to sell you a replacement tarp. Why not consider the Shur-Trak II™ or Cover-Pro II®, front-to-back cable systems that allows you to move both the tarp and bows to the front of the trailer in a single operation. Operates quickly and the box is completely free for loading.
Q: Are you tired of those manual tarp systems that wear you out?
A: Shur-Co.®'s new fully automatic arm style system is operated from the comfort of your cab. Just turn the switch and go! The Shur-Matic® is constructed of lightweight aluminum componentry that will not rust, the best on the market. In addition to the Shur-Matic®, the Shur-Trak II™ and Cover-Pro II® can be purchased with electric options.
Q: Do you have any suggestions for fixing the holes, or small tears in my tarp?
A: Shur-Co.® offers two easy to use tarp repair kits. Our professional repair kit comes with it's own heat gun, seal patches and instructions, no need to use messy adhesives. Our vinyl cement kit is also easy to use and offers an economical alternative to the professional kit.
Q: I have a tapered trailer. What can you offer me to insure proper tarp performance?
A: Shur-Co.® prides itself in customizing tarps to fit a variety of trailer configurations. Also, the Shur-Trak II™ front-to-back tarp system has a patented Twist-Lok® bow shank which comes in an extended version. This unique feature was invented for tapered trailers or trailers with bowed or tipped top rails. Using Shur-Co.®'s Shur-Lok® side-to-side system, with a tapered tarp and right bow option will give you maximum load protection on a tapered trailer.
Q: I heap my loads. Do you have a solution?
A: Most of Shur-Co.®'s systems give you the option of choosing the bow and ridge support system you prefer. Try our high rise bows. You will get an additional 4" to 5" in clearance to haul heaped loads.
Q: Safety is an issue with us. How do we keep the operator out of harms way when operating a tarping system?
A: Safety has always been the major objective at Shur-Co.® as well. Depending on your application, we have a variety of solutions to help provide for the safety of the operator, whether it is where the manual crank is positioned, or providing an electric option for your tarp system. The Jack Shaft is an example when you want to move the crank relocator closer to the main body of the trailer. This option is available for the Shur-Trak II™ and the Cover-Pro II® tarp systems only.
