Service Center Manager
The Ravenna branch was established in 1994 to serve the eastern United States from Maine to South Carolina and parts of Canada. The staff strives for quality and service.
The branch has three service-and-installation bays, including a tall bay with scaffolding that stands nine feet, six inches off the floor, allowing work on the big open-top vans. The branch services everything from grain carts to 53-foot open vans, but their primary business comes from end dumps.
All Shur-Co® branches have a tarp department capable of manufacturing tarps from scratch when necessary and a shipping department to get product to customers with short lead times.
Greg Graff has been employed with ShurCo® since February 2000 and manager since December 2007. He started out installing tarp systems on trailers and, over the years, has worked in every department. He believes that doing installs has given him in-depth knowledge of the different systems and parts. “This has really helped me answer customer questions and solve problems as they arise,” he explains.
A Ravenna native, Graff went to school with many of the local customers. He and his wife celebrated their 30th anniversary in June. His daughter graduated from The Ohio State University last year and his twin sons are juniors at Kent State University. Graff enjoys fishing and camping and says, “I also have this running habit, or ‘obsession’ as I’m told. I have finished seven Half Marathons, eight Ten Milers and over forty 5K races. I still have a full Marathon on my bucket list.”
Graff says, “I truly enjoy working for Shur-Co® and look forward to the new challenges of each day; it keeps the job fresh and interesting. It really is a group effort to keep everything running smoothly, but we’re a good team.”
Next time you are in Ravenna, be sure to stop in! Then you can say you’ve met Greg.
