Service Center Manager
The Iowa branch was established in 1997. The branch currently does not operate any service or installation bays. However, it has a tarp department capable of manufacturing tarps from scratch when necessary and a shipping department to get product to customers with short lead times.
Ed High has been at the Fort Dodge location for 17 years, all in the capacity of branch manager. He brings 43 years of tarp/sewing experience and pride in his product to the job.
“I started building tarps back in ‘72. Not exactly what I was going for in school (his course of study was wildlife biology), but I took business classes along the way, and I haven’t regretted it a bit,” says Ed. “It’s always a challenge and always something new, which keeps it fun.” He manages to put his wildlife background to work hunting and fishing – anything outdoors “except installs,” he laughs.
Married for 16 years to his wife LaDonna, Ed has three stepsons, one son and one daughter – and a total of seven grandchildren. Ed is a 1975 graduate of Iowa State University and continues to be a proud Cyclone!
Next time you are in Fort Dodge, be sure to stop in! Then you can say you’ve met Ed!
